On Saturday, Suzanne and I took a leisurly drive down I-15 to Tijuana, Mexico. There, we picked up our friends Chris and Miriam, who drove their SUV
with us south of Rosarito Beach.
So, we went to the Santini Art Gallery and had a great time. We visited with Aldo Santini and checked on some art we were interested in. We met one
of Aldos friends who works at the Fox Studios Baja who talked all about the commercial and film-making process at that studio.
After stopping at the Santini Gallery, we hopped back on the Carretera Libre and from KM40, we continued on to La Fonda for some excellent dinners.
This was our first time at the La Fonda, and the ambience was great. Old Baja charm combined with some incredible dining.
Back in Tijuana at Chris' place, I grabbed a bit of sleep on his couch while Suzanne and Chris talked politics. Maybe this summer, we'll be up for
some partying in Tijuana, but this time it was an early evening, and we returned to the U.S. by 9:30 p.m. Not a bad way to end the week - in
Baja...
