Capt. George - 2-9-2006 at 12:06 PM
Ralph,
That has to be the Punta, no??
And it is coming, for sure..........George

Si.. Oh but the wind and the dirt
Capt. George - 2-10-2006 at 08:22 AM
I think we're all very aware of that...There's not one of us here (that live here) that have not gone out of our way to help the local people in any
way we can..........George aka el Vikingo de Punta Abreojos

WOW. Touchy aren't we. The "gringo" residents of Abreojos that I am aware of are well integrated into the community. There is not a native
mexicano there that doesn't know who we are and won't invite us into their home, or to a fiesta, baseball .....etc.
In fact, my experience has been that they care about how fast development occurs and are trying hard to retain some semblence of a community.
We care about Abreojos and all of their residents. Don't be so quick to Judge the people you do not know.

Gringo enclave? and the wind does blow a lot of sand on the point. Do what you have to do. But your advertisement does speak to much more of a
"gringo enclave" than where I live. Listen carefully to what George and David are saying... It might help your ability to sell those properties
capt. mike - 2-10-2006 at 12:38 PM
Abreojos, you got it right brother....and the MARKET will ultimately decide.
Mexicans DO want growth and opportunity.
If that includes a "gringo enclave"....well, so what?
If it happens and is successful it's because of market conditions, and who says that is ultimately wrong for the area or a fraction of it.
cracks me up, all the norte americanos on this site who like to "armchair" what the type or degree of foreign economic development and/or prosperity
ought to be....
i say let them put their money where their ideas are.

Manuel was done pretty wrong by the only system he had access to, and well, they blew it big time. If Mexico had tort law like US he'd made a lot in
mal practice suit/settlement, but still been left with 1/2 a face. The 1st time i saw him at our Lopez clinic i thought , "my God, how can that poor
bastard want to even go on living, what a nightmare for a daily existance!!!"
And it makes you think how fortunate you/we all are for what we have in the states.
So with a lot of help and fundraising etc all Sams chapters and scouting they found a hospital in the states and some cranial facial specialists to
donate a lot of the $200K for the hospital and surgery to rebuild 1/2 his head and face, now he doesn't have to wear a bandana mask around to keep
from scaring the bee jeezuz out of the kids in town if he were to wander out.
it's a great organization to help with and they're all out in lopez this weekend, except me still down with fuel tanks out of the wing.
No , Abreojos i am not familiar with that guy in Moab. I putter around phx area when am not in baja.
i'd like to come over to your site and scout it though. I have another mex piloto amigo, Vicente murrillo who's family also has land for sale there.
He recently graduated from pro pilot academy in PHX and is working on getting a job with mex airline.
i'll be south i think next weekend for a few nights though. can't wait!!
