I am happy to say I'm leaving cold, wet, cloudy northern California for Baja on Saturday. http://forums.bajanomad.com/images/smilies/spin.gif I'm much in need of thawing and drying out and planning a lot of kayaking, so I've been
checking the various weather sites for Loreto and have been surprised by the range. It can be at once 69 and 81 degrees, calm and 15 knot
winds.http://forums.bajanomad.com/images/smilies/puzzled.gif Does anyone have an opinion on which site seems to be the most accurate both in terms of
current conditions and also forecasting? Thanks for all your help. For someone who can only dream of spending months in Baja, it's comforting to know
someone is getting to live my dream.

I have been using this one for forecasting sea conditions with great results. I hope it helps you. Just click on any dot that is closest to where you
are interested. Not 100% accurate, but what weather forecast is?

I do fish, usually trolling with a hand-line behind my kayak. I fish for dinner when I'm camping, not for the freezer. If it's bigger than about five
pounds, I throw it back!

Buoyweather is an educated guess at best. This time of year we need to physically keep an eye on the weather when we have boats scheduled to go out.
Buoyweather was doing pretty good until after the first of the year then it became dubious and we only used it as a guide. February is tough month
to call, usually we have wind 80+% of the time during daylight hours. This being a desert, temps have a wide range in any given 24 hour period. We
can see early morning lows go into the high 40's (F) and highs in the afternoons in the low to mid 80's (F) in the same 24hour period.

Bouyweather seems to have done the job for a lot us for a few years now, although most fisherman I know reckon the weather is fairly unpredictable at
times and you should always keep your own weather eyes open. Nature's signs are there...all you have to do look for them. It is well to make early
friends with panga fishermen...and listen.
