the land buyout again

mike odell - 3-8-2006 at 07:00 PM

To add to the above post by me,
Rancho Buena Vista, La Capilla, and a whole lot of other Big
Properties have been bought out also in this area.
Loreto Bay has nothing on us, In the words of my grandpa,
It's a stupid bird that shats in it's own nest.

the land buyout again

Hi Skeet,
Yea, rumor has it the the developers Of Light House Point
and the new marina in Ensanda are the money guys.
All that I know right now.

Gee, I just hope that these developers are not Canadian. We just took enough of a beating from the Loreto crowd over the Loreto Bay development. As far as I'm concerned it doesnt matter what the nationality of a developer is. They are all the same and they are after only one thing, money, and they will do anything to get it. It seems in most cases in the Baja, to them, nothing else matters. Is this what they call progress?

Skeet, Did you mean Ensenada or is there an Ensanda and where is lighthouse point? I am concerned about the directions of development in Baja. I guess it is just a matter of time before the developers ruin more of it.

Now, whatever you do, don't use the term "greedy developer." I almost got my head handed to me on a crispy plato by a couple of 'Nomads when I used that term about the guy developing the Todos Santos dunes.

BTW, Lighthouse Point is about 5 miles south of La Ribera (south of Las Barriles). When I was there two weeks ago, they had removed the sales office trailer they used to have parked there. "Sold out" on Phase 1 reads the sign. Don't know if there is a Phase 2, 3 or 4 but probably...

Put up, or....

You can't have a 'buyout' without a 'selloff'.

Those mean, nasty developers don't have to be the ones buying all the beach. ;D

Why don't you wheel a wheelbarrow full of money down there and 'buyout' all the land and then do nothing with it.
