Mazatlan Mariscos

In San Jose del Cabo
Huge palapa restaurant on the carretera, pretty close to the airport. On the right side coming from the airport just past the first stoplight(semaforo)
We have been eating here for years and never had a bad meal. My husband almost always get huachinango entero frito. I try different stuff. One of my favorites is aquacate relleno camerones, which is a whole avocado stuffed with a minimum of a dozen shrimp on a bed of lettuce with tomatoes...good thing to split so you have more room for the fried oysters or shrimp or scallops. They prepared all of the above just about any way you can imagine.
Night before last it was chilly so I decided to try a soup. Had sopa de jaiba...3 blue crabs in the best broth I have ever tasted. I rolled up 5 or 6 corn tortillas and dipped them in the broth. I have never eaten that many tortillas at one sitting. I couldnt stop.
The only thing that I dont care for on the menu is fish prepared in aluminum foil on the grill. I wish I could remember the word in spanish but it starts with a Z and has 10 or so letters in it.
If you are in this area, I highly recommend this restaurant
ooh I forgot the Oysters Rockefeller, another dish to split.
Bring your own wine, if you like. We have them used to this practice(as we do with most of the restaurants around here. saves a bundle and allows us to eat out more often)

Oh yes!!! Gotta agree with Judy. Mariscos Mazatlan!!!
Took me 2 hours to finish my order of Oysters Rockerfeller, there were so many on the plate. The waiter got tired bringing us extra beers to wash it all down.

Mmmmmmmm :bounce:
