The Palmilla Resort in Los Cabos, on the tip of the Baja Peninsula, is going to reopen on Jan. 2 as part of a new luxury chain, One&Only. Introductory
rates starting at $275 a night (versus the regular rates of $475 to $1,400) will be available through Jan. 31 at the 172-room property, to be called
One&Only Palmilla. The resort has a 27-hole golf course and a beach for swimming. The One&Only chain is owned by Kerzner International, which also
owns the Atlantis on Paradise Island, the Bahamas.

I can't believe that fine strip is gone. The world is passing me by. Landed there many times, in fact that was the destination for my first Baja
flying trip in 1974 (in a Cardinal RG with a stop in Mulege). I heard Johnny Carson once say that golf is a great way to f*** up a nice walk. One of
his more perceptive comments.

Golf is a good walk spoiled. - Mark Twain
I love to golf. I played with my father last week on his 79th birthday. He beat me on the front nine.
I use to surf with my dad, but he hasn't been in the water for quite some time.
right on Ken! used to fly a club Cardinal

It was an interesting airplane. Mine was a rental, not with a club. I thought the visibility was great (the wing sits back so far), and that big
"stabilator" horizontal tail was fascinating (the whole thing moved). I just happen to have a picture of the very airplane I flew on my first Baja
trip:
nicely Done......i wish i'd a taken fotos of so

many planes, trips and people. now they're all stored up in the ol' cranium..
I love pictures of planes on the ramp, where have they been?, what persons did they carry - who were they, and what did they have to say? - before and
after they flew?...Ha!
