sentri passes

batman - 3-14-2006 at 09:05 AM

I'd like to get some info on the sentri passes at the tijuana border...Thanks

Use www.google.com and type in Sentri pass. There is an official site that will give you a list of everything required and the cost.

Good to be prepared BUT I really wonder when you will get processed.

I have been trying to book an appointment to renew our Sentri passes for over 4 months. Phone 619-6907601 or 02 or 03. They are so far behind with renewels that they can't even process new people.

I went down there and the lines were unreal. I just keep leaving messages (they said that they would return calls for appointments) asking for a return call to book appointment every few days--Never get someone to really answer those numbers.

Perhaps you can swoop down on them in the dead of night!

It is a wonderful thing to have.

Luck!

Welcome to the USA government....

"Walk-ins will be accepted and processed on a first-come, first-serve basis."

Just walk in and wait them out.....just like the California Department of Motor Vehciles (DMV)

Take a lunch and perhaps dinner too!

I've called and left messages too, with no results. Never an answer on those lines..... I went to the office on friday a week ago, it was raining and saw the line, looked like 15 people in the no res. line and only 5 or so in the res. line, the office seating was full. I was there to get the renewel forms and make an appointment. Couldnt wait twice. Now I'll have all the paperwork together  and just wait it out some rainy? day. I'll bring a book or two, maybe Bouncing around Baja to read again.

How do you know when the Sentri expires?

Bob and Susan - 3-16-2006 at 06:23 PM

oh "they" know....

good for two years and "they" track your commings and goings every pass.

just another money maker for the "good ole USA" ...

and thank you very much:lol:

B&S you dont think those plate readers keep track of your crossings?

Bob and Susan - 3-16-2006 at 08:49 PM

cathart - 3-16-2006 at 11:40 PM

I had my first appointment at the end of October, but haven't heard anything since.... I wonder how much longer it will take to actually get the pass? They did take fingerprints and everything at that first appointment, and told me it would be 3 to 4 months--that was a joke, I guess.

Bob and Susan - 3-17-2006 at 06:01 AM

cathart...

remember "they" are doing a background check on you....

and it's one of the lowest priorty items on their plate....

don't think that $250 really means anything...it's a drop in the bucket

just be patient:tumble:
