El (he) nada.

>"he nothing" does not sound right to me.<

>On this I think you have to change the tense of pinta to Pintando to say "Camila, the artist is painting a painting (un cuadro without the n I think) of the lake.<

Translation disclaimer: this is only a purely uninformed opinion based on a loose interpretation of casual interaction with spanish speaking folks for many years. If asked to cite specific rules I would have to say "I heard chewy zumaya say it like that" or some such thing.

hey Bus, how's ol' Chewy doing?

Bus, your other comments are right but there is nothing wrong with "El nada". It means he swims.

I.M.H.O.:

THE DOG RUNS VERY FAST
El perro corre muy rapido.

HE SWIMS
?l nada.
DON'T FORGET ACCENT ON ?l ("HE")

CAMILIA THE ARTIST IS PAINTING A PORTRAIT OF THE LAKE

CAMILA THE ARTIST IS PAINTING A LANDSCAPE OF THE LAKE

CAMILA THE ARTIST IS PAINTING A PAINTING OF THE LAKE

CAMILA THE ARTIST IS PAINTING A FRAME OF THE LAKE

Oh, by the way, friends (please permit me to call you that even if I sound like an arrogant knowit all SOB)

IT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER IF YOU'ALL WOULD PUT DOWN THE english FOR WHATEVER YOU WANT TO SAY, and not just the Spanish.

And, #2

"the nothing" would be "la nada" not "el nada" heh heh thanks flyboy mike for giving me something to smile about and stay healthier than I deserve....
