Once upon a time

There was a cow who couldnt find enough to eat. So she decided to try some cactus but had problems keeping it in her mouth. And all the other cows kept saying ouch everytime they looked at her.

Then she discovered that she was not a vegetarian and decided to look for some seafood.

How about one of you who speaks Spanish well translating our story into Spanish. Then we can have some fun and learn something too.

This poor cow has really bad luck-- I hope her life gets better soon!

Unfortunately, after eating that particular fish it is quite possible that she died.
Chapter two: All good cows go to heaven?

Hmmm.. but maybe puffers are just psychedelic to cows?

Anybody ever heard of Foxtails? Not as bad as cactus spines, but tuff. It's a type of grass seed that works it way into flesh. Will cripple a dog and give a horse major gum problems.

In the elite Fugu-sashi district of Tokyo, Hiro was about to bite into his 3rd meal of raw Fugu (Puffer Fish) this week. He no longer cared about it?s deadly toxins and the great risk he was taking with each bite.

He had not been coping well with the sudden passing of his beloved grandmother Cholla-san. He?d been driving fast and living hard trying to numb the pain of her absence.

?Ah Cholla-san?, he thought. ?Each day I look for a sign from you in a butterfly, a Koi, an eagle, even a lowly cow. Surely you have not used up all 7 incarnations and will return to this earth. Where are you now Chollita-san ?...

SoCalAl - 4-10-2006 at 03:57 PM

:(:(:(:( Brrruhhh..uha uha uhhhhh..... Chollita-sannnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah so, little did Hiro know that somewhere in the desert baby choya was opening her eyes to a new world, flowering as it were.
She would be there for him. But he had to come to Baja California to find her. Could he walk that far or should he rent a car. How oh how would he get to her:no:

"My little Foxtail"

his grandmother called him when he was a boy and would cling to her skirt as she hunted for Tako (Pulpo) on the reef.

She showed him a picture of a Foxtail once, and that ugly barren place where the menacing plant was found. At the time, the picture reminded him of Cholla-san's hands - a long crooked finger of land covered with a dry wrinkly skin.

"How could anyone live in such a place?" he thought. The name of that place escaped Hiro now.

I think one of the worst things is getting a regular wood sliver that goes deep under your fingernail.

bajajudy - 4-11-2006 at 08:11 AM

Well, Hiro is now afraid. He has never felt such fear as he felt when he saw the splinter removal drawing from Packo. Maybe he can fly on the wings of an eagle to that place in the desert where the new choya is blossoming...maybe just maybe.
