Nick Names

Bob H - 4-10-2006 at 03:46 PM

OK all of you Nomads. We all have had nick names over the years. My wife, Audrey, has just started calling me "Bobby Burrito". Now, I don't know if this is a nice name or it means something else.

What are some of you called by your loved ones?

Bob H (aka Bobby Burrito)

Pompano, I'm thinking, maybe I am shaped more like a burrito these days.... hahahhahahaha
No particular reason, she just started going like this "Ohhhhhhh... Bobby Burrito".
Hummmm?

We call our beagle, Barney, Garbanzo Bean. We often call him "Barn", and Garbanzo Bean became his nickname. And he happens to LOVE garbanzo beans!

Pacifico Joe was handed out following a rather crazy boat ride out to Todos Santos in a mild Santa Ana.

Have a friend who recently won election to his Homeowners association as a 'member-at-large'. His wife now calls him the 'large member'. He likes it but finds that it's now much more difficult to ignore her.

Among a few close old friends, I've been SWIS for years.

It started when I was wrenching at Lucky Yamaha in Lemon Grove in the very early seventies. My tools were all engraved, and one day at the end of the shift, one of my co-workers picked up a wrench up-side-down and said: "If this guy SWIS doesn't stop leaving his tools on my rack, I'm going to keep 'em."

Actually, it's still the plate on my Subaru wagon.
