Can I pay import tax to Aduana in dollars ?

Has anyone paid their Import tax (on stuff you're declaring) in dollars at the San Ysidro crossing ?
I've only paid in pesos in the past, but won't have enough to cover the tax on the way in this time.

The Mexican government would prefer to receive dollars. Go figure.
