Mexico Number One

An article in today's Los Angeles Times notes that Mexico is now the Number One producer of pirated DVDs, primarily for the domestic market, selling New and Late Movie releases for 10 pesos in a country where the average movie ticket is 50 pesos.

Mexico has surpassed China and Russia to attain this exalted status. Good for them.

Aren't computers great? They allow everone to get in on the act. Not only can they copy CD's and DVD's but my job is now being done by someone in China. That's how I retired early at 55, whether I wanted to or not. If something can be digitized there is nothing to protect anyone from doing it, legal or not.
