I know this topic has been discussed several times in the past but I need a little help here.During the "Amigos" days I remember an avatar page where one could go to choose the avatar of his/her liking. I have no idea where it went or how to get/apply one!! :?:

Sally, I asked the question a couple of years ago (I was wanting an Orca) and walla! one appeared out of no where......I asked and asked but no one took credit (I figure it has to be Doug, who else could alter my profile?)

Yes Debra I know Doug is owner of the board, But there was someone else(at least using another name) on the board offering avatars the day I said I liked this one and asked how to get one?For the life of me I cannot remember WHO he was? But at any rateWalla and it appeared right after i asked! I think Bajalou got his either the same day or same week possibly the same way? Maybe he can remeber who it was? LOU?????

Hey,as the PC wizzard I am, I tried to change my avatar and succeeded in getting rid of my " flying Dutchman " one and " NO " new one. And in the mean time my post count went from over 500 back to 432. Anyone explain ??

A) Are limited to 130 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall. Anything more, and it won't appear. The "disappearing" avatar may have been one too wide/tall upon an edit, and the link disappeared from the profile on that update.

B) Yes, I've added avatars for some people along the way. No one else is able to access your user space without your password.

Post count:

Lou is correct. The off-topic area gets pruned. If you've posted there, those posts will disappear over time.

I guess you can. I don't know if .jpg files are accepted but when you convert to a .gif file you lose mucho resolution .

I betcha someone can come up with a really good one for Pescador, like whoever gave me mine? I have noticed in the past few days that many here have new avatars! I specially like JESSE's Fonzie!! Good fun and it kinda gives us an insight to the Nomad poster's personality! I just took a look at Pescadors link to avatars, which is the same one Sharks sent me to and I see that that particular avatar is "unavailable" could that be the problem Pescador?
