Bruce R Leech - 5-30-2006 at 02:42 PM

I think they are all teddy bears.:saint:

how can it be off-topic if it is talking about nomads:lol:

Just when...

John M - 5-30-2006 at 03:13 PM

...you may have had

Neal Johns in mind - when the elder aridologist isn't around to defend himself!

comitan - 5-30-2006 at 04:11 PM

Enter the shark said to the spider.....

Sharksbaja - 5-30-2006 at 05:06 PM

Paula - 5-30-2006 at 09:52 PM

are like sugar and spice---

but not the spice that little girls are made of!

OK! I get it! A STUPID POST!

Sharksbaja - 5-30-2006 at 10:20 PM

The dilemma here is: do I delete and run the risk??? Or do I carry on with desperate attempts to salvage this, ahem.... thread! I swear my wife had something to do with it.

bajalera - 5-31-2006 at 11:29 AM

My vote goes to Carry On but not in desperation.

Osprey - 5-31-2006 at 01:36 PM

Like the Sierras, unalterable.

Sharksbaja - 5-31-2006 at 02:03 PM

:rolleyes::coolup::cool:

Even the Sierras can be worn down, but ever so slowly.

Natalie Ann - 5-31-2006 at 02:33 PM

Some Nomads are like quality cabinet makers... skilled at hitting the nail squarely on its head. ;D

Skipjack Joe - 5-31-2006 at 02:46 PM

We're all right here, supposedly.

Natalie Ann - 5-31-2006 at 03:00 PM

That, Skipjack, is a frightening thought.

comitan - 5-31-2006 at 03:05 PM

Natalie Ann - 5-31-2006 at 03:21 PM

My goodness, Al G, you mean to tell me that (shudder) a nail gun is used in your profession these days?
Shows me for my age and my prejudice... huh?!

Sharks - yeah, those mountains are wearing down slowly... but not a noticiable amount in your lifetime.

BTW: I'm searching for a "cool dudette" icon. Something like the guy above with sunglasses, but perhaps hair on the head instead of the chin. Needs to be able to be made teenie enough that Doug could add it to our choices. Needs to be comparably 'cool' to the other choices. Anyone?

Baja Bernie - 5-31-2006 at 03:36 PM

And I got roasted for suggesting that there were meaningful things being discussed on the off-topic forum.

Paula - 5-31-2006 at 05:26 PM

I think I like these not-too-meaningful threads, like this one with lots of grins and laughs, and no moons except the one in Natalie Ann's Avitar

And this is very on-topic because I used the word like!

[Edited on 6-1-2006 by Paula]

Is this what u imagine...

Sharksbaja - 5-31-2006 at 05:46 PM

other Nomads are like?

For those of you who "lurk" in off topic.

vgabndo - 5-31-2006 at 05:47 PM

This is certainly the more legitimate side of the forum. I've been investigating what it is in my personality that lets be get sucked into trying to defend civility, then getting so ticked off at the attacks that I lose MY cool. (If I ever had any.) I publicly apologize for lowering the standards of this fine site. I love to debate, but I've found that impossible over there.

I'm all for more love, more peace, and darn I'd like one of Lulu's fish tacos right now.

You guys and gals are top notch in my book, and what I'm feeling right now is embarrassment for letting myself get dragged into the quagmire.

Sharksbaja - 5-31-2006 at 05:51 PM

Been there done that....:barf:

or do they look like this:

the first rule in debate is don't lose your cool. I loved debate more than anything else in school, I used to like it when I got put with a opponent that had a temper I could Winn every time.

so what you're saying vagabundo

Sharksbaja - 5-31-2006 at 08:15 PM

How about this one?

Natalie Ann - 6-1-2006 at 07:37 PM

Well, villadelfin, she is cool... but I'm not looking to replace my oh so fantastic avatar which was taken in El Centenario. I'm looking for a little female face similar to this one...
so that I can beg Doug to add it to the current choices of those thingies.

BTW, I really like your little pueblo of EC. Especially I enjoy the number of places where one can get a good home-cooked meal... like my favorite outdoor breakfast spot, in front of the house of the woman who rents use of the computer in her room... a few blocks from the the Mickey gym. She serves up one delicious meal! There's always yummy freshly made queso at the tienda not far from the big church with the red trim. Tastey tortillas from the panderia... and if you've never had them make up a flan for you, I strongly suggest you do that soon. Cream and sugar and eggs... right up your alley according to your 'signature'. ;D

My son says this looks like a guy:
