Q for David A.

Debra - 6-20-2006 at 07:42 PM

Dave, would you please ask Yvonne the name of that ointment was that she got from her doctor and shared with me? The rash cream. Thanks

Bruce R Leech - 6-20-2006 at 08:00 PM

why don't you use the u2u feacher when you want to ask a specific person a question? or do you want every to comment on it? I know you are not the only that dose this but it just drives me crazy when peple do it.

Debra - 6-20-2006 at 08:07 PM

Sorry to offend Bruce, but, I'm not sure Dave even knows how to use the U2 (he posts so seldom) also, I think he may be on his way to Bahia and many others here will know that and advise me, or get a message to Yvonne there, as I know many other posters here are on their way down also and know Dave and Yvonne.

And as the subject line says "Q for David A." seems simple enough to ignore the post?

David K - 6-20-2006 at 08:24 PM

Bruce, why don't you use spell check on a word program? It drives me crazy to read one of your posts and NOT translate for everyone.

bajajudy - 6-21-2006 at 08:09 AM

Deb
Dont know if it is the same one, but I use Schederma Crema for heat rash and it works well. Just make sure that the area is good and dry before you put it on.

David A. - 6-21-2006 at 09:47 AM

I will U2U you when I get home. It should be around noon:bounce:

Debra - 6-21-2006 at 04:11 PM

David K: Tea Tree Oil STINKS! This stuff is odor free..

Debra - 6-21-2006 at 04:18 PM

Oh, sorry Judy I didn't see your question.

it is "Triamcinolone Acetonide" Dave A. U2ed me and I found that I still had about 1/2 of the tube that Yvonne gave me, YEAH! It didn't say anywhere on the package what it was used for so I wanted to make sure what I had.

Thanks again Yvonne, I will be rash free this summer!

bajalera - 6-21-2006 at 05:46 PM

I'm glad you posted that question, Debra, instead of U2Uing it. This thread, like others of its type, has provided some useful info.

Paula - 6-21-2006 at 09:43 PM

... and some laughs.

Bruce, your spelling is so much more interesting than mine. Sometimes I think you do it on porpoise.

Debra - 6-21-2006 at 10:11 PM

"porpoise" ROFLMBO! Come on guys.......let's give Bruce a "brake" Just teasing Bruce!

We all have our "pet peeves" It's all good,.........No offence was taken, and none meant I'm sure.

Ssiggghhhh....

Ok. I have to add to this post. Our Wild and Crazy pooch, Daisy, loves to run and run and run and then she runs some more. All of it close to, in and through the plants of Baja. After 2 or 3 days of this wild and unabaited activity she starts to scratch. And I mean scratch and scratch and Scratch!! Drives us nuts. All hours of the day and night. Constantly. We had tried everything you could imagine. Cremes, ointments, salves, sprays, baths and dips. Even 3 trips to the veterinarian. He couldn't figure out what was causing it or how to stop it either. She scratched till she began leaking blood in a hundred places.

Then one day her Fairy Godmother came along. Her name is Yvonne and she had this magical creme. We rubbed it on and like magic the scratching ended. Triamcinolone Acetonide works.

End of story.

Where as Bruce is a good friend, Sorry Bruce, But yes he does misspell on purpose. He is a very intelligent and kind man who will probably never speak to me again after this. Sorry to blow your cover Bruce. I also don't want to know what the medicine is for. This is getting far too graphic for me. I'm just a schunkyles kind of guy. Misspelled, I think. Sharky, I need more sauce. When are you coming down......

bajabound2005 - 6-25-2006 at 07:26 AM

so where does one BUY this cream? At the Farmacia?

Triamcinolone Acetonide

Roberto - 6-25-2006 at 03:06 PM

Just did some research on this medicine and discovered it is a corticosteroid, and some care should be exercised in it's use.

Here are some links:

bajabound2005 - 6-25-2006 at 06:41 PM

Roberto, I did the same, it's basically nothing more than good ol' cortisone anti-itch cream. In Mexico you can buy stronger strengths OTC than in the US and we have some of that. Just make sure you aren't gettting ready to on the Olympic Team!

Debra - 6-26-2006 at 01:50 PM

Yikes Roberto! I also did a search looking for what it was before I even asked Dave A. , (I had a tube that I thought was what she had given me that worked so well, but, wanted to be sure.)

I always get a nasty rash, bumps, no itch on my arms........Yvonne noticed and offered this stuff, I tried it, worked great!

Since my last trip in March when I got so sick, and in light of my older son Dustin's near death with the bees, I gripped my brain around more 'med's' less tires and car parts!.......so my quest began....

I went on my HOM website.......nothing to worry about there, I even called the clinic and talked to the nurse..........no worries there either......

Now you have me wondering.........this is why I never even take a Asprine!
