Lots of campers from K58 to Ensenada...Sunday 7/2/2006
I mean LOTS!!! The beaches are WAY fuller than Semana Santa...
Hotels look very full...
NO army at the checkpoints....must have been voting
LONG lines in all towns to vote...

re: soldiers
Some people say voting
Some people say being held in case of election disturbances
Don't know which but the latter sounds more logical to me.

The local police were at every voting place we saw...
directing traffic and pedistrians....
it looks like more people vote there than in USA
bajalou - 7-3-2006 at 03:32 PM
They reported about 70%

Dang, I missed you in Mulege. Get my sauce from Bruce, I left some there. Passed you going north.
Hey ever think about a sideline biz....like a money exchange store?
Sharksbaja - 7-5-2006 at 02:17 PM
I was amazed when I drove north. I would have thought the chkpoints would have been beefed up. Go figure.

Talked to Bruce about that Sharky, and got the sauce. Don't know if your talking about me, but what the hell, jump in with both feet. Coming north for
minor surgery in August, and might just come up and have a meal at your place. Sorry I missed you before you left. Timing is everything. Just ask
General Custer.
lots of dedicated Mexican voters out on 7/2
