Does anybody know why I cannot get into the OFF TOPIC forum?
It asks me for my "password" (never done THAT before), but when I type it in, it rejects it as "not valid". Tried it 3 times with no luck.
Strange. HELP

Barry,
Go to the Announcements section and look for that very subject. It will tell you what you need to do.

this is what Doug says.
but he dosent tell you how to do it.
Off-topic password
You'll notice a password for off-topic. The password is listed on the front page in the forum description: over18
This is not approval to have content be worse than PG-13, but is meant to be a (very mild) deterrent for our younger visitors. If you type in "over18"
please BE over 18.

Mission accomplished, tho I left the OFF TOPIC forum really fast without contributing after reading 3 of them--------bad stuff!!!!
I had thought that the "fraud" claim of the Mexican elections already alledged by the CNN editorial might be discussed, but nothing there. Just as
well----------

Although it's called a password here, it's actually a cookie.
Clean out your pantry and you'll see.

It's a gentle reminder based on the honor system.
Which is actually quite appropriate. The honorable will honor it; the less-so might get more than an unpleasant eyeful.
