Judy, I love the game, but cannot participate. It is a great opportunity to learn.Paula - 7-6-2006 at 03:29 PM
Yet another beautiful picture, Judy! Maybe you should do a book?
On our way north last week we saw the lighthouse on the way to the dunes at Guerero Negro. There are ruins of old salt works there, but I don't know
if this is the same lighthouse.
Paula, Do you mean

I think Paula has a great idea--A photo essay book! Your pictures would sure work and you could title it something like my new book--"THINK you know
BAJA." I believe it would be a winner and I'm sure that Natalie would contribute as would a few others--
If you don't believe me I have stories by six different Nomads in my book and they all gave permission and get credit on the cover and elsewhere in
the book. (most didn't even care about the credit) but they get it anyway.
Baja is a fun place and Photo's show it off wonderfully. Perhaps even a coffee table high class book--I don't believe anyone has ever done one since
Harry Crosby or ED Vernon.
You, Natalie and Sara could be a real winning team.
Think about it. I'm sure that David K would love to help with the narative.Tomas Tierra - 7-6-2006 at 06:10 PM

Bajajudy... my lighthouse post inspired you. This is a good thing. Your photos are fantastic.

I like the dune photo Judy. Neat lighting and dune detail.
You must take a camera with you everywhere- even to the basuero???
I think you've got a photo for almost any Baja subject and it's nice of you to give us a peek into your albums.
More brilliant photos by Judy

Why Bernie - I thought you knew - Judy, Sara, and I are real winners, whether as a team or individually. But I do like your idea.
How about it sisters? When we've grown very old and most of our adventures are sweet memories, shall we put together all our photos and publish an
encyclopedia? Natalie Ann - 7-7-2006 at 01:04 PM
Judy's photos will be the book's first section - the photos she shares here are always the best!
Got any more to share with us soon, amiga?
Natalie

Sure, I knew that is why I suggested it.---Sara has a ton of great photos from Chipas and some from Baja also. The three of you could really make it
work.
If you do it I want a signed copy--for free! Good ideas are hard to find and this is a great one!bajajudy - 7-7-2006 at 02:04 PM
Hey guys and gals....Thanks for all the kudos
OD, you wont believe this but all of these photos were taken with a Sony Mavica that is over 8 years old. Since it is so old, I do take it with me
almost everywhere. I bought a Nikon digital that I am afraid to leave the house with, for fear of it getting stolen.
I agree with Bernie that Eli, Nena and I could probably work together beautifully and come up with somthing pretty amazing.
However...where is the second lighthouse from.....Al G - 7-7-2006 at 03:40 PM
This is guessing and I don't know where I got this photo.

Baja Bernie - 7-7-2006 at 09:39 PM
As you well know it is not the camera but the eye that makes the picture.
Ok so no one wants to play

Sorry Judy...

I searched and searched for my "winner" on the south end of Isla San Ildifonso, but it is misplaced in cyberstorage.
Wrong thread, but related...

Is there any truth to that great story about the Mexicans moving a lighthouse inland in order to lure a foreign factory fishing vessel onto the beach?
Down by Todos Santos?Eli - 7-10-2006 at 06:23 AM
Bernie, Yes, I do love to take pictures, play with them and share them. Even so, I would never presume to be in the same league with the photography
with Judy & Natalie Ann, they are way beyond me. Your comment did get me thinking though, and I went back and looked at their pictures, also those
of Gringorio and Ken Bondy, and I remembered the photos shared by JR Baja, and ya know, there already is a really fine collection of photografic art
gathered right here on Baja Nomad.

You are more than right! Now, all we have to do is light a fire and see what happens.
