I love the dust, but I hate what it does to my brakes. Every Baja trip, the dust on the rotors/calipers in my truck (F150 Supercrew) makes every stop
sound like I'm a semi tractor or a train hitting the brakes at low speed -- big time deep scraping noise. It's worse than fingernails on a
chalkboard. Anyone have a cure for this other than washing off the rotors and calipers periodically? Maybe some special brand of brake pads?

Grooved or sloted rotors will help some, as will ceramic pads. These will help brake performance but will not elimnate the problem. In our shop we
use a spray on anti squeel that works for awile, but not as long as a set of pads. I would not go with the ceramic unless you upgrade your rotors,
it will warp them quickly. This is all expensive if you are happy with your brakes performance . What year is your truck? My dads 04 f-150 never
made a sound after a trip to Gonzaga, never thought about it untill now, guess I was paying atenteion to the blown El Ranchorito FX4 shocks and
broken seat.

"Maybe some special brand of brake pads? "
Perhaps ones with 'Toyota' printed on them?

2001 Supercrew. I'll try the spray -- not very efficient to do a massive brake upgrade.
Nice try, David, but my spacious rig's got a few miles left on it before I go for something with a little, uh, tighter fit.

Just having fun with you Dan-O... no worries!
Have you sat inside the new Tacoma or the Tundra double cabs? Very big now, and with the seat all the way back a 7' basketball player wouldn't be
cramped for leg room.
