In Search of Sand Bars or Reefs...

Hotelike - 8-25-2006 at 11:49 AM

My twist and I are heading south for a week and we're looking for a beach or reef break between Rosarito and Ensenada. I'd like to find a reasonable hotel or mobile to rent nearby... Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I surfed Malaga Cove this morning and it was two foot with good shape, nothing to write home about but we had fun before it got crowded. The water was warm and not too much kelp...

Check around the HALF WAY house area...you can see the beach from the toll road....gets lots of waves......

Also right before last toll booth....right point...san migel(?)...

k-39 is good if you can get down to the beach.......same with gaviotas....

"My twist"???????? No comprendo.

The Malaga Cove in PV?

Your generation gap is showing, Barry.

La Fonda was working last Friday when I had breakfast there -- little offshore was making it hollow. There are several places to stay in addition to La Fonda itself. I noticed that La Fonda now has several security guys watching the cars, likely because of the thefts in that area. If you go there, get friendly ($) with the security guys, and keep your eyes on your gear. I also recommend the quail.

---------Ohhhhhhhhh, yeahhhhhhhhh!!!! of that I am sure.

Now, I am just guessing, mind you, but is a "twist" somewhat similar to a "main squeeze" ????
