Our Baja Pictures from Spring Break-New Member

TinaRMarie2 - 8-31-2006 at 06:11 PM

Hi, I am new to this forum and have really enjoyed reading some of your tales/stories, and looking at all the pictures. I wanted to share some pictures from our 7 day road trip during Spring Break.....well better late than never ;) My almost husband and I took left from California and went as far as Loredo. We had a few hotel reservations but mostly we just were flying by the seat of our pants. We have been to Baja many times before, but this was our first road trip and we experienced it like never before. The people were wonderful, the places we went were fabulous and it was just an overall wonderful vacation. Plus, it was our first trip without the kids, and that in itself was great, haha.
I hope you enjoy the pictures, Tina

FANTASTIC!

FANTASTIC is the word! The only word to describe your photos!

Great subjects, great composition, great lighting!

You have a great eye for the photograph. A review of your submissions one would assume that you are in film school or a photo school-- if not a serious advance photgrapher or just darn lucky by being
at the right place...
at the right time...
with the right equipment...

Some times timing is every thing!

Welcome!

The restaurant (Quichule), was used in a scene in the movie 'Bajo California: The Limit of Time'... Damian walks in (having walked out the Vizcaino Peninsula and back) on his way to San Francisco de la Sierra. A waitress asks him if he would like some machaca.

Thanks for the great photos... keep 'em coming!

Wow, thank you all for the warm welcome and wonderful comments! Tomas Tierra, instant Nomad? I am honored  dean miller, photography is just a hobby for me, never been to school for it. I try to learn something new all the time but some of the f/stop/white balance/shutter speed stuff goes right over my head. I just stick it on Auto and shoot away. I use a Nikon D50, kind of a beginner digital SLR camera. I have been practicing some Photoshop skills, while I don't know how to do much on it, it's been fun practicing. I use some Actions from time to time that I have downloaded from Action Central and those are fun. David K., I will have to see if I can rent 'Bajo California: The Limit of Time' from somewhere, I would love to see it :) Thanks again everyone. I will be sure to post some more pics soon.
PS Still praying for all in the path of John

Good call David that is the restaurant that is featured in the movie, One day I would like to eat there, but don't know where is located it.:?:

TinaRMarie2 - 9-12-2006 at 11:54 PM

Bajacat ~ Restaurant Quichule is located about 2 miles northwest of San Ignacio, across to the Military Station. It was so good we stopped on our way back to California as well
