I have a little more information about Mulege. I received a phone call from my mother, Celia Saucedo last night from the Orchard Vacation Village. She
had to use a public phone in the middle of town with a phone card she found. She said that it is possibly the only phone currently working for public
use. We had a limited amount of time to talk as the phone card expired quickly. She wants people to know that all of the new Casitas in the Orchard
Vacation Village resisted the flood and are still standing. She said that there is mud and water inside of them.
She also said that Dave Becker's house in The Orchard received the brunt of the storm and that the whole back side of the house was blown off by the
rushing water. The rest of the houses in The Orchard all received mud and water damage, some is worse than others. She wanted us to tell Joan Frikke's
friends and relatives that she is alive and well and that the Saucedo's are taking good care of her. To my understanding, Joan Frikke survived by
going to the third story of her home and had to wait a day or two until the water receded to be able to come down. She did have a friend/family member
with her at this time. My mother, Celia, stated that the security guard came to the door Sunday morning at 4-5 AM knocking and telling them
frantically to jump in their cars and drive up the highway, where they spent the night for one-two nights in their cars.
According to Celia, "The river crested and was approximately ten football fields wide." She said that some electricity has been restored to the main
town but they still do not have electricity, phones, internet, etc. in The Orchard. She said that the recovery process will be very long.
She said that people that own homes in The Orchard should come down with help to clean out their homes as the mud should not sit, as it would harden
like concrete. She said that it is very hard to find workers and helpers to help clean out their own homes. She suggested to bring as many people as
possible with you that could help you in the recovery process. She is not clear about road conditions so be sure to verify if all of the roads are
open before you come out.
She also said that the Water Purification Plant has been reopened for business in Mulege, as well as one of the Motel's in town. Not sure what the
name of it is. You may need to bring a generator or some type of power source as there may not be any electricity available to run any tools, etc.
If you have any additional questions please feel free to private message me.

the fire Dept. says they Have more clothing than they know what to do with.
they need bedding, plastic tarps, disposable plats, cups and spoons. , tents and things to set up temp housing Propane stoves and camping type gear.
also it would be a good time to get rid of those old propane tanks that don't work in the US anymore.
