UFO sightings while in Baja

Phil S - 10-7-2006 at 07:23 AM

How many nomads have had UFO experiences while in Baja?
And since this is intended to be a serious thread, we can skip the "one liners" like, only when smoking. Or, I was drunk once & spotted one come out of the water type of response. I know from a source of a sighting in the mountains to the west of Loreto years ago, by a Mexican rancher.

About 4 years ago, December, between 12-1 AM, I was headed North from La Paz (it's the ONLY time I've driven Hwy. 1 at night, but I was with a guy who typically drives straight through) approximately 12 hours north of La Paz we BOTH saw some otherwise inexplicable light activity several miles off in the distance which was darting back & forth along the top of a mesa in patterns that no aircraft could make & the lights were way too big to have been helicopters. Whenever we refer to that drive, we refer to it as the UFO trip. Whatever they were, they weren't close enough for either of us to distinguish more than huge light sources that moved at speeds & patterns incompatible with conventional aircraft, and the lights were huge, nothing like plane lights. Both of us agreed that we saw the same thing and both agreed we'd never seen anything like it before....nor since! No little green men, no booze, no drugs! That's my story & I'm sticking to it!

12 hours from La Paz puts you around our place!! I've seen lots of very strange sights in the sky here. Satellites that shoot off into hyperspace all of a sudden....mesa top lights where there are no roads but my best story was when I was camped at the base of the 3 Virgenes volcano near Sta.Rosalia. One lovely dawn as I was making coffee over a little campfire, a very old man on a burro came up to me and we began chatting over coffee and I asked him if he had ever seen any UFO's in the area. He said with a very straight face..."Pues....hoy....no". I asked him what he meant by not today and he told me that they only land on the mesa over yonder on Tuesday nights!!

I been waiting for my "ancestors" to come and get me for a long time...

Think about it, I believe certain groups of us humans originated from out there. Kinda like the criminals that were sent to Australia..

I believe they still come by to take a look at us and realize we still are ensconed in our violent behavior...Bye-Bye, see you in another 50 yrs. Well, I guess I'll keep on awaitin! Capt George

BornFisher - 10-7-2006 at 10:10 PM

Yeah.... in L.A.Bay. Couldn`t have been some space Martian craft because we saw the "Christmas Lights" three straight dawns. We all shouted to eachother (camping in separate quarters) and all saw the green and red lights blinking over the mountains to the west. We were way around the bay, Rincon they call it!!
Phil-- Come by Santa Marta #16 sometime and we`ll have a beer and talk Baja!!!

One near Catavina

Calling Art Bell............Calling Art Bell. Come in, Art. Acknowledge..........

I have seen things on 2 occaisions that I cannot explain while flying small light AC. In fact, it was so weird I couldn't begin to figure out how to discuss it with others, like ATC. So I just chalked it up to USA black ops.

they have advance craft that no one knows about. Think about this, the Stealth fighters are now 20 or so years old and they had those under cover for years before. Tech doubles every 6-8 mos now, it's exponential.
Gravity busters are here now But they'll stay in bed with big oil as a cover up from John Q public.

I am not a conspiracy nut but there is a lot we don't know because a contingency of those in various high places, intergovernmental, do not trust the common man and want to control us.

well, ok - i take it back, i am a conspiracy nut!!:O:tumble:;)

Phil S - 10-8-2006 at 06:54 AM

Hey Mike. That last sentence would make a great off topic thread. Give it a shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your reference to Art Bell is interesting. Wonder how many people on B.N. haven't heard of his 'enlightening' show????????????????

shari - 10-8-2006 at 10:01 AM

Bruce, are you sure you cant tune in KFI 640 AM in the wee small hours. It's VERY powerful.

David K - 10-9-2006 at 09:18 AM

I listened to KFI while driving north from Cabo to Todos Santos in 1985... was after sundown when the AM clear channel stations with the power and skip takes over. Another power station in Utah always comes in, as well.

UFOs

MrBillM - 10-9-2006 at 09:30 AM

I would wager that virtually Everyone has had more than one experience with a UFO. No problem there, but any of those who actually believe that any of those Unidentified Flying Objects are actually Alien Space Craft are the ones who are delusional and need to be steered clear of.

day light sightings...

Cardon Man - 10-9-2006 at 03:22 PM

Unidentified lights are all well and good but has anyone seen anything unidentifiable in broad daylight? I have a good friend who swears he saw a slow moving "saucer" mid afternoon while camping near Cabo San Lucas in the early 70's. An interesting tale from a guy who is far from the "Art Bell type". Anyone else have day light sightings of strange objects in the sky?

In 1965 on board the USS Kitty Hawk after passing the international date line we had set condition 1 cat. That means the pilots and radar operators were in the F4 phantoms and the huffers were connected and plane captains standing by. Four planes, one on each cat ready to be turned up and launched. If a launch is called the planes must be launched within 3 minutes.

It's after dark when the air boss calls to launch the birds. The huffers are started and in turn the planes are started. During this time off our port side a bright blue light some distance from the ship streaks in a stern to bow direction and is out of sight. It appeared to be level flight. The air boss calls off the launch. The ships radar operator said the object was so fast it was picked up on radar then passed the ship and was out of radar range before we could get the planes launched. He said our planes would never had caught it. Was it a UFO? A missile? I don't know, but I saw it.
