When you sign up for sat radio, sirius or Xm, you get an antenna with each reciever. Highly recommended, works all the way down peninsula!

I bought a Pioneer XM ready stereo. It comes with a remote so you can install only speakers in the camper as well as the cab, and control it from your
pass thru boot/window. The antenna is mounted on the hood just below the windshield with no interference. The antenna is the size of a Dollar coin. I
have never had any problems with my system, and it sounds great.

Most of the receivers come with a RF modulator that transmits the signal to any FM radio in range. One XM receiver will then send a signal to the cab
FM radio and also one in the back. I have found that I can wear a small FM radio and walk around my boat and out on the docks and still get the XM
programming (and so can my nearby dockmates in the marina). The FM modulator is so you don't have to connect the XM receiver to your radio's antenna
(although you can do that too). Really nice to get CNN etc. in La Paz and on the road.

Definitely confirm what Jack Swords mentions. I tune in the FM frequency on my old FM tuner in the back of my Lance. If I take the remote control back
there, I can change channels through the pass-thru window.
The range is surprising. I often take a portable FM radio with me and have been about 100 feet from my rig and still gotten reception.
I also bring my portable into the house and can pick it up on any FM radio in a two story house, so it's not purely line-of-sight.
thank you all...

for the good info. here in alaska where sat radio is sort of something we discuss with a far-away look in our eyes, knowledge is in short suppy...i
look forward to getting on the road and giving it a go, just need to move a few degrees of latitude south.
