Antonello Restaurant & Pizzeria

Bruce R Leech - 10-15-2006 at 06:45 PM

On our last trip to Ensenada we tried Antonello Restaurant & Pizzeria and it was very good the service was excellent our party ordered several deferent items off the menu and all were good the price was reasonable. they also offer free secure parking in a lot that is big enough to accommodate your rig and trailer if you have one . this is a big deal sense it is right in the busiest part of down town.

next time you are around there give it a try

What items did they defer?

Bruce R Leech - 10-15-2006 at 08:07 PM

Lots of Home made pastas and fettuccines, Parmesans, and really good pizza. and allot more. good wines and sweets.

when we were at the Antonello Restaurant & Pizzeria it was almost empty. we talked to the owner and he Sade that they were having trouble getting the word out about the Antonello Restaurant & Pizzeria. he says that many persons are afraid to go down to centro because of the parking problem. But it seems they have that under control. so if you like good Italian food give it a try and report back on what you found.

has any one else tried this place. it is not new and I am wondering if maybe I was the only one that had a good experience there. I know we all come to Baja for fish tacos and enchiladas but some times for those of us that live here full time we need a brake.

Thanks Bruce ... I'll give it a try. There used to be a Chinese restaurant in that area but I cant remember any place that had a parking lot. Must be part of the urban renewel they plan to start in the next fifty years and I just missed it.

the parking is in a pay lot half a block away. they give you a ticket to give to the lot attendant so you don't need to pay anything.

Bruce R Leech - 10-30-2006 at 06:35 PM

has any one tried this place yet. I'm Beginning to think I was in the twilight zone when We ate there.:?:

bajaguy - 10-30-2006 at 06:56 PM

Not yet, but on my list. Maybe in a couple of weeks.

Bruce R Leech - 10-31-2006 at 12:54 PM

I am going to try it again in a couple weeks and I will give another report then.:bounce:

DENNIS - 10-31-2006 at 03:02 PM

How much is parking for non-customers?
I'd rather have good, safe parking down there than a good, safe pizza.

Bruce R Leech - 10-31-2006 at 04:19 PM

seem like they said 50 pesos for all day and that went untill 4am

Summanus - 10-31-2006 at 04:33 PM

No pizza in Baja for me...or anywhere in Mexico for that matter. Good pizza only comes from Chicago Italians...period. Let the Pizza Wars begin!

Bruce R Leech - 11-1-2006 at 08:47 AM

wrong the best I ever had was in T.J.

I had a lot of that Chicago stuff and it is not to bad but it isn't real Pizza.

Really good pizza exists in Chicago..but for the absolute best!..NYC.

Summanus - 11-1-2006 at 09:03 AM

Bruce, you have to travel from Mulege and Baja to find truly great classic pizza. Two places: both in New York City...the original Patsy's in East Harlem serves a primordial slice, the thin crust nicely charred around the edges and the slice topped with modest amounts of fresh mozzarella and unspiced tomato sauce. Then Lombardi's, where American pizza was invented on the Neapolitan model a century ago, offers a lusher pie with a choice of 14 toppings and a slightly thicker crust. Be sure to exercise the free garlic option.

Now, if we were talking fish tacos.....

Bon appetite!

Bruce R Leech - 11-1-2006 at 09:10 AM

for me real pizza doesn't have thin crust. there are as many ways to make Pizza as there are people making it. and I like all stiles of it or at least most. that is the neat thing about it is the variety.

Summanus - 11-1-2006 at 09:16 AM

Si como no, hombre. Couldn't agree more about liking the varieties....like sex, some pizza is better than none at all.
