We would like to have a friend join us down in Baja in January. We will be in our motor home. We would like to have him fly down and stay with us in
a reasonably priced hotel/motel/resort south of Ensenada with an RV Park. He will be flying from Oregon. He could take a good quality bus to where we
will be.
Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced Hotel/Motel/Resort on the beach with an RV park close to a major airport south of Ensenada?
I appreciate your thoughts and ideas about this.
Thanks,
Iflyfish

A major airport south of Ensenada? The next one is Loreto 600 miles south, then La Paz and finally Los Cabos.
A reasonable price motel with an RV park next door would be Cielito Lindo, but the room quality isn't super.
El Rosario's Baja Cactus Motel fits the bill and the Sinahi RV Park is a mile down the street... But, what do you want to do in Baja? El Rosario is 5
miles from the beach... But, as you may know, it is in the center of dozens of places to explore, by off road vehicle...

Try Estero Beach resort, they have what you are looking for, airport would be Tijuana.

Have you thought of San Felipe?

Great responses. I appreciate your thinking on this.
We are trying to work something out to get him to Ascuncion if possible in early January. That is the sort of scene we are looking for. Layed back,
beach, fishing, both beach and panga. Watching the sunset, counting stars, relaxing and enjoying the beach scene. This is a trip of a lifetime for him
and no doubt his last. His energy is still good and we would like to take advantage of that while we can.
We plan to stay at Estero's on our way down. Will have family Chrismas and New Years there and then plan to head south. Shari's place is on our agenda
after that. If we could find a pilot to fly him out from TJ that would be great. Another option is for him to take a bus from the TJ airport down to
where we will be.
We are wanting to explore other options because the trip to Shari's may not be feasable.
If there are any pilots on BajaNomad who might be willing to fly him, we would be happy to make arrangements with you. He is a wonderful guy with a
great sense of humor and appreciation of life. He has given me a lot in this life and I would love to be able to do this for him.
Thanks,

i'd recommend tripui so. of loreto i guess, or verdugos. both close to jet ports, beyond that it would be serenidad.

Don't know about getting to the TJ airport from an Oregon flight. Maybe fly into San Diego then to the TJ airport by bus.
Possibility, with some transfers to fly into San Diego and end up in Ensenada. Maybe Capt Mile can pick him up in Oregon and fly direct to Ensenada

I will get hold of Captain Mike. Great ideas.
TJ is an option, also Alaska now has direct flights from Seattle and Portland to La Paz. This is a brand new service.
I have taken the Red Trolley from San Diego to San Yasidro and then walk a few paces to the border. Inexpensive and convenient.
Thanks,

Great exchange with Captain Mike.
Does anyone know of a good, reasonably priced resort/hotel/RV Park on the beach around La Paz? Alaska is now flying from Portland to La Paz and this
might be another option.
Thanks,

Isn't there still an old RV park sorta near the Navy docks west of La Paz. I remember it being inexpensive, very lush, and filled with geckos. I
can't remember the name. Anybody?

We stayed here in La Paz at this place in 2000. Maybe someone there can let you know if it is still there.

The view wasn't bad but not a real swimming beach:

We stayed at this RV park in 2000 while undergoing some treatments at the La Paz Naval Hosptial. It was a good deal and a nice park..although the
bumpy gravel road into it then was a bit rough. All in all, we would go back.

" we'll open the park by Nov. 1 as the first of the rigs start to arrive. We are already allowing a few "early birds" in for a couple of nights with
the understanding that the pool is empty." Richard
Great responses from Richard. We will stay there on our trip.
