Hola: does anyone have any cost information or estimates on the tri di panels vs. block.
such as:
material: tri di panels vs block
labor time / costs between the two
the tri di panels look pretty nice.
Also anyone who built with the tri di panels, your plans were drawn up using the panels?
Thanks brian knott - elskel@aol.com

They look like the same panels they sell down here in BCS they are called Panel W, All I know is they are building a lot of homes out of panel W
down here, the only input I have from a friend that used them was they take a lot of plaster to make the walls flat.

I do not see an advantage to block. Can someone explain why this would be better in Baja. Very obvious steel stud does not work. I see no difference
here.

elskel-
You may want to inquire about a comparison of block vs Tri-D panels that's specific to your location to give you the best idea of costs.
For example, where we are the cost of ordering, then transporting the panels off-road, and the fact that our contractor and crew were not experienced
with Tri-D, resulted in our building estimate to be about the same for block and Tri-D.
The insulation properties of Tri-D and the speed that the walls can go up was tempting, but we opted for the material that the builder was the most
familiar with (block) since we weren't able to be on site during construction and weren't keen on being the Tri-D guinea pigs. Our roofs are foam
block ("casetones").
Oh, and Mrs. elskel and I worked together once upon a time.

As I recalled being involved in a past discussion on Nomads on this very same subject, I went to search and typed in TriDPanel Construction in the
subject and eli in the author box and the conversation that didn't change any minds was easily found. There is some information to consider there, so
as such, you might try going back and seeing what has already been hashed out regarding the why's and why nots on that thread.
