They have Rotoplas tanks including 2500 liters. I priced one of that size about a year ago at another place in Ensenada, about $325. Price is
probably still in that area. I cant remember seeing anything larger.

When are you coming south? If your time allows, I have plenty of it, I can look a little further into it, availability etc. If anything is
questionable, I can steer you to another location.
Also, the 2500 may be a bit cumbersome to be tied on top of a load. Anyway, I'll get size and weight as well.

They sell the rotoplast tanks at Constructorama in Maneadero.I think the 1500 liter cost me $175.00 2 1/2 years ago and a 1100 liter was $140.00 last
year. I use the smaller tank to get spring water at the Cespe water supply up the hill from Xitale market. I put it on my utility flatbed and fill the
tank for about 2 bucks! It's almost drinking water quality not as rough on my trailers water heater etc. I just use a 110v submersable transferpump
hooked to my hose biband backfeed the water. takes about 1/2 hr to transfer. I also add a cup of bleach but we still don't drink it.

when I go to Home Depot Mexico web site and click on locations, it asks what state and in Baja Calif. it lists Ensenada, Mexicali and Tijuana. with
addresses and phone numbers - doesn't mention opening date for Ensenada

Dennis et al,
I have a question about Home Depot. I've been there twice in the past 4 months, so I know a little bit, a very little bit.
I need pre fab kitchen cabinets. I've found a place here in So Cal that has great prices and a good stock of all the cabinets I need BUT, I really
dont want to have to go through the declare line with more than 700 or 800 dollars of stuff. And.....Will they turn me arouind and send me back if I
do? I don't mind paying the import tax, just don't want to hassle with all the paperwork and time it requires and take the chance they will send me to
Otay to get a broker.
So the questions boil down to
1) "Does Home depot have and asst. of prefab kitchen cabinets in stock?"
and
2) "If I do buy Cabinets (apprx. $700) and take them across the border will I have any problems with the declaration?"

Home Depot in San Diego doesn't sell pre assembled cabinets and never has. Lowes does however, white, maple, and oak.
I know having the pre assembled are easier for installation but you may want to consider the un assebled ones for easier transport. The boxes are very
flat. Load them at home, and pile all of your other stuff on top, assemble when you get to your place if your worried about the Declaration Lane.
I took 3 extremely large loads of lumber and windows across the new border in Mexicali in October alone on a 20' flatbed, no problem at all, just paid
the duty and I was on my way.
I keep hearing about the problems sometimes people have using San Ysidro for Declaration and don't know why there is a problem, that's what that lane
is for...Heard better luck at Otay on this forum.

Last trip down I assembled a bathroom vanity Diane got at Ikea. It came with a sink and faucet. It was flat packed, so easy to transport and not to
hard to assemble( I can help with that). They have full kitchens, all in one kitchens including sinks and fixtures that match. Good prices and not
too hard to put together They are not of the highest quailty but acceptable.
I'll give you the tour when we meet up for the 1000.

You can buy pre fab cabinets darn near anywhere here, already assembled. Procansa Hardware and several cabinets shops along the Reforma/Carraterra
between Ensenada and Maneadero.

I recently imported a 1000 gallon septic tank. Prior to crossing, I stopped at customs with the same question you have. The amount of duty wasn't my
biggest concern, getting turned around was my main concern.
This was at San Ysidro.
Anyway, the duty was 15% and I could cross at San Ysidro if the value was under $1000. It was. $996 and the duty was just under $150.

As I recall about 5-6 to assemble it, but seems it took 10-12 for you to watch me. No worries mate, there is always beer in the Ice chest for you.
