All of a sudden, I cannot log in to the forum. My computer messed up somehow, and all my cookies and permissions are lost. Can I get a new login, or
how can I fix the old one?

I guess it isn't my computer, because I can't get on on my laptop anymore either. Is it possible that our security settings are too strict, as we had
to change them when someone kept trying to access our network? I am running Mac OSX 10.3.9 and Safari as a browser, which is what I have always used
for Baja Nomads, but I thought that this info might be useful to someone. Also, The main computer on our network is running Windows XP.(this is my
husband's computer that has never logged in to the forum)
Sorry for the anonymous post, but I can't log in!

Is it that you don't know your password now, or ???
If you have the right username/password, make sure of two things:
1) You're entering them correctly. A lot of people copy/paste their passwords and add an extra space character (which could be avoided by better
forum software scripting, but that's what we have) - so make sure you're entering the password correctly.
If you don't know the password, go to the "lost password" page to have a new one created and emailed to you:
http://forums.bajanomad.com/misc.php?action=lostpw
2) Browser security settings. If you've got the security cranked up, then it might block the cookies the forums place on your machine (a small
non-malicious text file) - and thusly the site software can't identify you.
If there's still a problem please email me ( bajanomad (at) escapist.com ).

(and that's why this forum allows anonymous posts - is for just this reason)

Doug I tried to log on for Karyn Ivie using the pass word you gave her and Nomad wont except it. so the problem is definitely on your end. can you
help here out on this please.

Bruce,
Respectfully... is that the password that she requested yesterday and that I changed her account to about 8:30pm last night? If not, then no, it
won't work.
If the problem was on the end of the board software... *everyone* would be having the same problem.

no it is the one you gave to here last time. you gave here one a while back and she still has the email that you sent to her , she forwarded it to me
to try and it doesn't work. now if you have changed it again that would explain why. she will need to try the new one now.
thanks Doug
