TIJUANA – A city police officer was ambushed late Thursday and died at a Red Cross hospital.
The officer was identified as Antonio Cabada Cuevas, 38, according to state investigators. He was found inside a 1999 Jeep Cherokee in the Los Pinos
section of the city.
At least eight law enforcement officials have been killed in Baja California since September, and most of the attacks have been in Tijuana. The
victims have included city, state and federal officers.
Another city police officer, Alvaro Abraham Alvarez Alvarrado, was grabbed from his home and killed Oct. 24.
