A friend in Loreto tells me his neighbor from Canada recently got dengue fever in Loreto. Now, with the colder weather, that seems hard to believe
but, the friend returned to Canada and they tested his blood and, sure enough, it was the dengue. I am sure this is an isolated and very rare case,
but it reminds me to keep putting on the deet while in Baja Sur.
