Has anyone taken the "new" crossing (to the east of downtown Mexicali)? We were told that there is major construction on the road very close to the
new border crossing, and the detour signs are not visible --- easy to get lost so close to the border. Going north on MX-5 is a pain, and we usually
go over east to the new crossing - but don't want to get lost.
I've checked as many "sites" as I could, but do not see any current information on that stretch of road.....

I was there Mon. The construction is at the intersection of the road to the airport. It drops to one lane just thru the inter. You will have no
problems getting thru it may take a few lights as there is only one lane but it is clearly marked.
