I know this subject has been hashed out here, but I am unclear about whether my existing Direct TV receiver to service I have here in Fl. would work
if I took it to Ensenada, Mexico. Is the signal I get here in Florida programed for the East Coast area. I am sorry, but I guess I just don't know
how this works.
When I sell my house here, I can move my existing Direct TV servie to Arizona, which is closer to Ensenada, Mexico. I don't know if this matters, so
could someone explain it to me.
I will be going down there to do some work on the house, and it sure would be nice to have some TV while I'm there.

It should work fine in Ensenada on the same satelitte. It would just require some setup. Plenty of techs in that area. We have a mobile DirecTV
subscription service on our 5th Wheel and our tv works fine with just the small 18' roof-dish as far south as Catavina..which is quite a bit further
south than Ensenada...maybe 200 miles or more. Hope that helps.

Most of DirecTV's Channels are on National Feeds from Satellites at 101 and 110 deg West. Exceptions might be Local Broadcast channels (ABC, CBS,
NBC, Fox, etc) so, as long as you are within the "footprint" of the satellite, you'll receive those channels.
Check out www.lyngsat.com for satellite alignment info.
