Morro Bay 11/24

Ken Bondy - 11-25-2006 at 08:51 AM

I made a dive under the North T-pier yesterday with my daughter Coleen. First time we have dived together since her son was born four years ago. Visibility was unusually bad (about 10 ft maximum) and the water was very cold (52F) but there were lots of nudibranchs around. Here's one (Aeolidia papillosa) that I have only seen in Morro Bay one other time in the last 20 years:

Still lots of big Triopha maculata wandering around:

A big yellow dorid in the red bryozoan:

We stopped by to say hello to Nomads Paulina and Dern at Planet Pizza in Baywood Park but there was a big banner on their shop saying that they were off in Baja at the 1000 and they will be closed for a few more days.

What a lovely treat on a very cold (frozen water up here) Alberta winter day, Ken. One of my favorite underwater treasures!
