Just a few suggestions in looking at used inflatables;
1. Check for air leaks. They can be fixed with the correct patch kit but leaks may show the amount of use the boat has had. Use a dishsoap/water mix.
2. Check for holes in the floor skin. Even though this portion is not inflated, holes will let water into the boat. Lot's of scuffs will tell you they
have landed the boat hard too many times. Lot's of scuffs can lead to tears.
3. Check the glued seal at the transom. If this is loose DO NOT buy the boat. Some older models had glue that failed in the sun and costs over $400 to
fix correctly.
4. Some have the little retractible wheels that work on smooth, firm beaches but not on rocks or soft sand. Make sure it will work for you or get a
small trailer.5. Get one with a seat if you can; sitting on the pontoon gets old fast.
6. Keep the boat lightly inflated when not in use; folding for storage is bad.
I have a 10.5' Bambardier with a 9.9 I'd sell you but it's in Washington.
BTW a 6 or 8 hp is plenty for one or two people to plane.
