Otra amenaza cumplida contra policías: ejecutan a dos y una civil

TIJUANA – Two more city police officers, and a secretary who accompanied them in their car, were shot to death late Tuesday night.
The victims were identified by Mexican authorities as Gerardo Santiago Prado, 38, a district chief for the Mesa de Otay section of the city; Officer Hector Javier Inzunsa Amaya, 29; and Nancy Ramos Teran, who worked as a secretary in the Mesa de Otay office.

Gunmen attacked the three around 10:30 p.m as they traveled in a patrol car in the eastern part of the city. The state attorney general, Antonio Martinez Luna, speaking to a Mexican television station, said the attack had the hallmarks of organized crime.

The bodies of the two officials were found outside of the car with numerous bullet wounds, according to a city police report. Ramos' body was found inside the car.

Twelve law enforcement officials have been killed in Tijuana since September, an unusually high number for such a short time frame, and most have been city police officers.

That total represents more than half of what Tijuana newspaper Frontera reported Wednesday is a total of 20 killings of law enforcement officials – including state, federal and city agencies – in Tijuana during the year so far.
Most of the violence is believed to stem from the illicit drug trade.

Is this simply coincidence that it's another "Gerardo" and "Hector"?

That just seems WAY too strange to me.

Right you are Doug! Very strange indeed. Also, very very sad...

When the hell is the military going to take over that town until the crap ends?

All that technology we saw in Tijuana used by the police hasn't done anything (yet) to stop these assasinations. Time to get serious...

I agree, Military does have to intervene. They need to find these people and stop all this. I dont want to think that my cousin Hector died in vane.
