I will be crossing over into Mexico at Tecate in a couple of weeks for the first time. Can somone tell me where the office is to get my tourist
visas? I presume it is located right after you cross the border. Thanks

Immediately to your right as you enter. Can't miss it.

tecate crossing
As an additional tip, park on the U.S. side and walk the short block to the immigration office, get your FMT's there and then walk back to your car.
Parking on the Mexican side is a little more difficult. Don't wait to get your FMT's in Ensenada-they are getting a bit weird down there-fines,
tearing up pre paid FMT's and such.

Anyone know about crossing north @ Tecate w/a large motorhome @/the new crossing?

Good question Mike---
I use the crossing and I can't imagine that a "large" motorhome would negotiate the serpentine turn out of the place. Seems as though U.S. customs
has done their best to make life miserable for us. Of course, we're all the enemy as far as their concerned.

It can be done but with the complimentary tale to tell about how tight it was. The border officers show great patience in helping guide you through
the tight turn past the booth.

I think they'll let you exit through secondary if you ask. It's a much straighter shot. Wait times at Tecate, especially on Sundays now equal or
exceed those in TJ.
