Those prices seem incredible to me???? One can still buy a condo in Imperial Beach for those prices.

Ok, it won't be right on the waterfront, it may not be luxury, it won't be high-rise (as long as our side keeps winning), it won't be built by Donald, but we at times do have lots of polution in our ocean----right straight from Tijuana. We, however, are told when the polution is there----nice little yellow signs. :P

Part of our beach is far less crowded and we still have lots, and lots of sand dollars.

Love Baja, but that project just seems outrages IMHO.

From the article: "There´s no one here who´s going to own these units in five years."

I bet that just might be true - one way or another.

Isn't that location next to the sewer outlet? Sounds smelly to me.

----there is about an 85% chance that the project will be a stellar investment----you can bank on it. He does his homework!! an is a true American living the American dream, in spades.

However, this does not bode well for those that wish Baja to remain "quaint".

There is a ruin on the Colorado River just south of Laughlin that was to be a Trump masterpiece hotel and casino. For many years now it sits there half built, deteriorating and falling apart, a complete failure.

:lol::o:no:

SALES OF TRUMP'S PROJECT HAVE STARTED!!

And the San Diego TV news was reporting Friday night that sales had just begun on his project and that they'd already made...whew...get this...188 sales.

---do you have any details on that "ruin" below Laughlin, or know of any web information? I have never heard of it. Are you sure it is not an AM. Indian project?

I did a little research on Trump in Baja-----

Barry A. - 12-10-2006 at 09:24 AM

---and what I preliminarily found is that this project is not strickly a "Trump" project, but that Trump has allowed his name (and reputation) to be associated with the project for Marketing purposes. The actual developer is an outfit from British Columbia. I am sure it is more complex than that, but I think that is the thumbnail sketch of what is going on. From the Trump end, Trump's daughter and son are handling the details, whatever that means.

The man's (Trumps') companies have filed for bankruptcy twice. Yeah, he does his homework. But the fools who do business with him apparently don't.

Trump is the perfect name to give to a condo tower built on a beach too polluted to swim.

Barry A. - 12-10-2006 at 11:03 AM

I detect a lot of cynicism and anti-Trump sentiment here.

El Trumpo has faced bankruptcy, but has recovered each time to go on to bigger and better things------when you are as aggressive as he is, you are bound to have some "bumps" along the way.

Still, the buyer should ALWAYS beware, and in that sense you are right. I personally will not be investing in his projects, mostly because I do not understand the fine points of real estate.
