This Week in Morro Bay

Ken Bondy - 12-13-2006 at 05:21 PM

I did two nice afternoon dives under the North T-Pier Monday and Tuesday. Stopped by Planet Pizza to see Paulina and Dern but they were still closed. Hope everything is ok with them.

Morro Bay is so rich in nudibranchs it is not unusual to see two different species squaring off. I have never seen this anyplace else.

Ken,

Back in the '80's and early nineties, while living in south Florida, a tank off the beach and a few more off the boat each week was common. Weekend trips to the Caymans, Dominica, Bahamas were aslo frequent.
My "buddie" still lives there.

You make me CRAVE getting in the water again every time I see your photos !!

As usual, your underwater pictures are amazing---just fantastic. That guy hiding in the rocks should be a poster boy for save the ocean----he just makes one want to protect him.:yes:

Thanks -- I just love seeing these.

Really, really wonderful photos.

Ken...killer pics as always! I wish they had digital when I was diving at the Channel Islands back in the late 60's and 70's. I remember looking up thru the kelp beds 70 feet down with seals darting thru at Santa Barbara Island getting red and pink abalone 12-16 inches across....but they are still in my head! Keep those awesome pictures coming!

Cinco - I have great memories too of those sea lions at Santa Barbara Island. Have you ever dived the big underwater arch there?? One of the best ones around. I remember the abs also, sad to say they are no more. Thanks for the nice words, ++Ken++

----I remember taking excellent abs off La Jolla (San Diego) in the early 50's in less than 20 feet of water. Things have sure changed. (We got Pacific Lobster off La jolla too)

Supurb shots, Ken. Well done, and thank you.
