and very happy for the honest people of Mexico. We are just south of Ensenada and this morning we were at an internet cafe. We left for about an hour
and then went back to look at the bulletin board again for an address. The lady that worked there came out with my husbands wallet, which he had not
even missed yet. It had all our money while we are here. American money, pesos and a couple of checks from selling some property at Santispac. I do
not know what we would have done. We could have gone to the AMT and gotten more money but this was several thousand dollars which we have now put in
our friends safe.
We often read many bad things about the Mx. people, we have never had any problems and today proved something we always knew. There are good and bad
people everwhere. Luckily today was the good.Diver - 12-18-2006 at 05:28 PM

You rewarded their honesty, so, they might enjoy a little nicer Christmas, also a demonstration to their kids that honesty DOES pay off.
Big hugs,

I'm not surprised your wallet was found and returned to you.
When you hear stories about thieves in Mexico, they are generally stories of isolated incidents. Most of the people in Mexico are very honest, and
just like in the States, it is only a few who give Mexico a bad name. I have camped for months right next to hundreds of Mexican fishermen at Los
Frailes and never had a problem with theft. I have more problems with high-school kids in my own neighborhood in Salt Lake City.fdt - 12-19-2006 at 12:35 PM

We did reward her with 200 pasos. I hope that was enough. It was worth a thousand pasos only we don't have that much to spend. we continue to do
business at her place and she appreciates that.DENNIS - 12-19-2006 at 05:07 PM
It was enough. Honest people don't expect rewards but yours was a nice gesture that goes beyond Mex/AM relations. It was one-on-one, just people
being good to each other. ThanksCincodemayo - 12-19-2006 at 05:13 PM
Now she has a lifelong customer...and twenty bucks!
