Will be in Loreto/La Paz for 10 days or so in March. My first time in Baja and my wife and I would like to take a 3-4 day kayaking trip. Any
sugestions for a resonably priced company - $100/day or less? Most I've seen on the internet run just north of $100/day, but they include a day or
two on land, with hotel included. No interest in that as we'll get our own hotel reservations.
Also, if we arrive in Loreto, is it easy to book a trip once there, or should we definately do so ahead of time?
And while I'm writing, we are flying to Cabo and plan head immediately up to La Paz and then eventually to Loreto. A combo of bus and rental car. Do
we need a car around La Paz? Would rather get to Loreto by bus and then rent after the kayak trip so we don't have to pay $60/day for a rental car
while we are kayaking.
Anyway, any thoughts on all of this would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

The Aguila(sp?) bus has a stop under the overpass in front of the airport... you can pay one of the car rental drivers a couple of bucks and they will
take you to the stop out on the highway... I think it is about $20 to LaPaz and probably will take 2.5 hrs depending on how many stops it makes... you
will find almost all the car rental companies on the street facing the beach downtown... be sure to make a reservation and you will find the insurance
per day is equal to or more than the car rental...
book ahead

I would suggest you book ahead if you want a guided kayaking trip. These companies have scheduled trips which can accomodate only a limited number of
people. Try paddlingsouth.com in Loreto. I think Trudi and Doug could arrange for you to just pay for the trip without the local hotel charges.
