Not sure if anyone caught this or even knows who Jan Woods is, but she passed away on Dec. 28th.
I never knew her, but I do remember watching her 1/2 TV show years ago. I think it was on one of the local stations and it was called "Tijuana: Window
to the South", but was all about Baja and sometimes Mexico. Lot's of cultural stuff too. it was a really good program at the time. I think it lasted
30+ years.
She also had a marketing agency that promoted some of the hotels in southern Baja back before the internet. I remember going to a dinner for INAH in
Ensenada about 12 years ago and she was one of the honored guest.....
Anyway, just thought I'd point out the fact that we lost another lover of Baja.

hey Ted - K pasta amigo?
are you back on the air??

Not yet, Capt. Mike. My problem is sponsorship for the show. I need to come up with a couple large sponsors or 5-10 small sponsors to pay the $500
bill each month. I did it on my own, but can't afford it anymore.
If I can't find some sponsors (you'd think some big companies would be all over it) I will look into doing the show on my own out of the home....
Hope you are doing well, amigo!

Hi Ted,
Not sure how much you have been reading Nomad, but Ferna de Tijuana (Fernando Garcia) started a Baja Internet 'Radio' on Wednesday's at http://www.ultimatebaja.com His station is in Tijuana and doesn't have the features like able to put call ins on the air, that you had.
It is really very sad that all your shows (that were archived to listen to anytime from many great guests) was lost forever!!!

I did meet Jan Wood, back in 1975. It was shortly after I wrote my second Baja Roadguide, published in the Baja California Bulletin Magazine... She
asked me to be on her show (Tijuana: Window to the South on Ch. 6, San Diego)...
Jan did a great job promoting Tijuana and Mexican culture for many years!
Thanks for letting us know... albeit sad, none-the-less.
