Laguna Manuela nice....surf fishing there also good...

As you enter Jesus Maria, on left heading south, stop at the tire shop and see Issac (ee-sack) he's a really good guy. Tell him hola from el Vikingo de Punta Abreojos....then ask him about fishing...he'll help you out.

Also in Jesus Maria another amigo, David (dah-veed), ask Issac, he'll point you toward David, again hola from Vikingo y Deborah!

good luck and safe trip. Capt G

I stopped in Manuela on my home last July. It was my first time there. There are some nice beaches just below the lighthouse. Lots of fish when we were snorckling. Wear shoes to walk down the sand dune, lots of stickers, they'll even stick to the bottom of your shoes. Have fun

It's rare to get good surf in Laguna Manuela but it's a real cool place and if you hike or take a 4x4 up the road to the right at the beach there is an awesome arch with a sea lion colony there.
As far as Malarimo beach goes, it's highly over rated in my opinion...it's hard to get to and shouldn't go without 2 vehicles to pull you out of the deep sand...yes there is alot of driftwood and some big old logs and billions and billions of plastic bottles but not much good stuff, some fishing floats but mostly piles of garbage. It's fun though rooting through the crap but I've never found anything great. there are some good stories about cars sinking into the sand never having been seen again so be careful.
