Road paved to Abreojos

abreojos - 2-6-2007 at 07:16 PM

Talked with Bido (Las Palmas Fish Tacos) Sunday and she said they were paving the main roads in town. Has anyone been there to see this yet?

woody with a view - 2-6-2007 at 07:19 PM

so then is the road from the highway completed?

abreojos - 2-6-2007 at 07:21 PM

Another great question. I haven't been there in over a year and I didn't ask. Guess I was a lttle shocked. Plan on going in a week or two.

That makes sense...I wonder how long that will last? Did they finish the real rocky part before dropping down to the flats near Coyote yet? That was the worst part.

Man, Is that Mexican or what? I love it.

All you people rest easy. Mexico has development proofed itself.

It's called ching gar. I believe that is how you spell it. Can't do it as well as they can, but from the looks of Cabo it is starting to remind us of TJ. Traffic is geting out of hand. A gringa tried to pick a fight with my wife and California road rage has been imported. Try doing that to Abreojos before I die.

Can't we all just get along?:light:

I would like to take a flashback to the 60's and do all the things I didn't.:o I miss that free love stuff!

did they get new drivers with the new trucks? Has the plant been upgraded? Last I heard from Pedro, that was the plan.

Deborah heading down to Ojos this coming week. Me? I'll be here till property sells...then off to La Paz...see there is a God, I'm moving. Sorry about that GK, I know you'll miss me.

George

Yes. new trucks AND drivers. no more problems with water delivery. went in on a monday and they were there that afternoon.

Would rather travel on a dirt road than a poorly maintained paved road full of pot holes. Those jolts are tuff on everybody and everything.:(:)

Capt. George - 2-7-2007 at 12:31 PM

good news Ralph..it's about time they dumped those little arrogant pricks!

Capt. George - 2-8-2007 at 04:53 AM

Lots of other people in town did...right before we headed north.. In fact, even Pedro was on a rampage. Seems the two humps decided on their own to deliver only 400 ltrs at a time....both to gringos and mexicanos...they got less then what they deserved, if it was just being fired.

Flying to La Paz on the 28th till the 7th March....good luck with new truck and say hello to GK for me! Deborah getting on road tomorrow with a 3 day stop over in San Diego campground......

I "hope" to sell florida house and be in La Paz by no later then the end of April, we'll see..........adios amigo

Glad to see someone else noticed. There are always a couple of bad apples and it seems they always gravitated to the water truck. Will be interesting to see all the changes when I get there. Good luck selling the house, George.

Capt. George - 2-8-2007 at 05:10 AM

oh george, they wouldn't do that!

some of us seem to not be able to see the (few) bad apples anywhere in Baja?

got a couple of chewers, wiating to see the color of their money.

Haight-Ashbury 1967- free love sent me to the free clinic:(

abreojos - 2-8-2007 at 05:07 PM

Bet your glad it wasn't AIDS! Just think if you go back knowing what you do now, you would do things differently and skip the free clinic part.

Oso - 2-8-2007 at 06:00 PM

Got that right, it was just plain old clap. As for the rest of it; if your aunt had balls she'd be your uncle...

Like the road to LA Bay? Get a good streach and you speed it up thinking it might be smooth sailing from there on only to get a rude supprise by hitting one of the suspension killer pot hole that has no mercy! Exactly what I said when they paved the road to Abreojos. As fas as I know it is still holding up. Anybody seen anything like that developing on the road to Abreojos?

rts551 - 2-9-2007 at 07:08 AM

Road is holding up nicely
