Hi,
We seldom make reservations, but thought that this time we might do so----want to stay at the ex La Pinta in Catavina. They have always been dog
friendly.
Now I checked their web site --- now the Desert Inns, and they say NO PETS?????
How recently has anyone stayed there with a pet? I tried to call, but could only leave a message.

We really like that particular one and so will take your advice. Besides, if it doesn't work out, we can camp at Rancho Santa Inez.

Don, it may be hit or miss with rooms... I do remember looking at them in 1973 when the highway had yet to arrive at that point and the rooms were
quite dusty!
I know of a couple of ladies who make it a habit to stay there as they appreciate the quiet, not found along Cataviņa (Hwy. 1)...
I looked at the rooms a couple years ago and they seemed quite nice, bathroom and shower incl. I believe it was $20.Don Alley - 2-13-2007 at 12:54 PM
The "no pets" rule is on the web for all of the La Pinta hotels, and they are all called "Desert Inn" now.

My husband and I stayed at the La Pinta Catavina the middle of January with our dog on the drive to La Paz. We have stayed there several times with
our dog Molly, and this time was no different--she was accepted without any problem. We always specify before check in that we have a dog and they

What's the procedure with taking pets into Baja? Do you need to bring papers, shot records, etc? Any recommendations for pet friendly hotels along

I have stayed at Rancho Santa Ynez several times with the dirt M/C guys they have bunk beds and bathrooms. No bugs and min. cleaning: not bad for
the guys but I would not plan to stay with my wife.

Have your current vaccination records with you when returning to the US. Never have been asked for anything in Mexico.
