East Cape outing today

Weatherman said light winds and he was right on -- panga in the water off our beach at 7, ran to the lighthouse and got a few nice sierra. Caught and released two big feisty Jack Cravell that stripped our 18 lb test with a vengence. Spent the rest of the T shirt morning searching for the elusive marlin/dorado/whateverfish dragging feathers with squid-trail. Ran the boat way up on the beach at 11, got above the last wave -- used 4 gals of gas in my Johnson 55. These glorious days I count double. I don't take em for granted at my age.
