Skype out calls within Mexico.

Anybody can tell me how to reach someone in Mexico on Skype out ? I'm in Loreto and still haven't got it figured out.
If I dial the regular way, either just the number or #1 plus number, I get an invalid number response. :?::?::?:

I don't use skype cause I think that Crystal Voice is better for satellite, but I call in Mexico all the time and I do it just like I was calling Mexico from the US. In other words use the 011, area code, number configuration. The computer does not know you are in Mexico so your connection to a land line is from the US.

Jim,

noticed that Crystal Voice is no longer accepting any new clients and is recommending NetZero Voice. That is, if it's crystalvoicelive.com that you're talking about.

I am in San Felipe and just tried calling my own number. On my version, 3.0.0.198, you select country and then the area code plus the number. When Mexico is selected, SKYPE puts in the +52

Skype??????

Hook, just found out that CrystalVoiceLive.com has been bought out by a new company and so far I have not figured out how to make sense out of the website. Hope they start taking new customers as there seems to be a difference how the different systems work. I have friends who use Skype and it works great with their land line Prodigy program but everyone who is trying to use Skype on satellite (Hughes Net or Direcway) reports having problems with voice out while voice in is very clear.

That's gotta be due to the DirectWay uplink bandwidth being lower than the downlink. It's not Skype's fault. They're probably using just the basic service level of SatMex-5, hence the problem.

Not "everyone" has this problem with Skype on DirecWay. It can be done if it's done right.
