I plan to drive south in a few more months towing a boat. My question is, does it matter where you get your FMT stamped. The last time I drove down
with the boat I got my FMT stamped in Ensenada but when towing a boat it was a major hassle trying to find a place to park the rig. I wasn't even

I always cross at San Ysidro. The last time I drove down I was able to get my FMT and pay for it right at the place I bought my
insurance (I think it was off Dairy Mart Rd.) all on the US side. Then when I got to Ensenada I took it in with my ID and they stamped it. Was only
asked for it at GN, they took it in and entered it into a computer? and that was it.
It was all really easy except for making that 120 degree right turn to the immigration office in Ensenada, then driving all over dragging the boat to

just go to the far right to secondary

immigration and bank are RIGHT THERE 24/7
just buy your insurance online and print out the policy at home
you can choose the date and time it starts
why waste you vacation time buying insurance
why stop twice
only get off at dairy mart road to use the restroom at MickeyD's, Burger King or Carls Jr...and maybe buy food
don't speed on the border road even if others are...lots of radar
