Sorry BajaGeoff, I forgot to mention your BajaBound Insurance Services will exhibit at the show. Also, Hugh and Carol Kramer will exhibit Discover Baja Travel Club. Hope everyone will say hello to another fellow Nomad.

I have everyone above this message on the guest list.

We just received a couple more great prizes including a copy of Bruce Berger's new photography book from SunBelt Publications, a two-night stay at Hotel Coral & Marina, original art work from Galeria Perez Meillon in Ensenada, and a two-night stay at Sandy Beach Resorts in Rocky Point.

Looking forward to seeing you all,

Ted

Just a quick note on the Mexico Expo. Graham Mackintosh will have a booth at the event promoting his books and possibly some of Sunbelt's other books.

Also, Araiza Palmira La Paz will donate two three night stays at the hotel and Roger & Jean's Villa Bahia in LA Bay is offering two free nights.

Hope to see some of you there,
Ted

Sounds great Ted... Thanks again for your efforts!!!

MexicoTed - 3-3-2007 at 12:27 AM

Ok, hopefully we'll see alot of you out there tomorrow.

We just received permission to have tequila tasting with Tequila Los Abuelos. The owner is the grandson from the Sauza family. Could be a busy booth.

For anyone planning to attend - be looking/asking for us near the end of the event, sometime shortly after 2pm - until 4pm, which is the closing time for the event, is when we're planning to be there.

Got some Little League events to attend to earlier in the day today.

Good to see David K, Baja Angel, Phil C, BajaGeoff (Baja Bound Insurance), Graham, Keri (Pyramid Resort), Hugh and Carol Kramer (Discover Baja Travel Club), Celia Diaz (Binational Emergency) and many others this afternoon at Ted's Mexico Travel Expo.

Thanks Ted for allowing Nomads entrance to the show gratis.

I heard some folks had asked if I was around earlier in the day, and am sorry that I was not able to be there until later in the afternoon before closing (2-4pm).

Regards,

You tequila lovers missed the free samples from this small distillery of superb tequila. A lecture from it's founder was very informative!

I, ummm, "sampled" all three there (blanco, reposado, and aņejo) - and felt the aņejo was the standout... for some reason by a wide-margin.

Thanks to Ted and all the vendors. Leslie and I ran into some friends of the family and gathered some useful info. Good to put faces to a few Nomads and talk about our Baja jones's.

Phooey! Sorry we didn't meet more of you! Did meet Artful Art, David K. Keri and a few others. Maybe we can meet more of you on 5/5 at the wine-tasting/book signing. How crazy do you think it will be down there on Cinco de Mayo?

It will be crazier at your local El Torito, by far.

No worries if avoiding craziness is your goal.

David K - 3-6-2007 at 06:26 PM

Hook is correct, Cinco de Mayo is a much bigger deal in the U.S. then in Northern Baja... Remember, 5 de Mayo is NOT their Independence Day (Sept. 16).

David K and Doug, I missed both of you but met a number of other Nomads. This was a great place to gather information and spend a little money and make plans for more Baja Trips. My wife and I met Kari, BajaJeff, Awful Art, BajaBernie, Hugh and Carole, Graham, Cecila, SDRonni, and I think Mexico Ted at a booth there. It was a great time but I must have just left as you two arrived as my wife kept looking over at the Home and Garden Show next door. Your right about May 5th not a real big think in Baja Norte. My wife and I will be at the book signing on May 5th and I plan hopefully to stay over at Kari resort she was advertising. By the way the map I down loaded for the trip to Mazatlan Kari and others asked for the website so here it goes: www.ontheroadin.com is probably the best mapping I have ever used. My wife and I traveled without having one arguement while being on the move and getting down from Nogales to Mazatlan:lol::bounce:.

I just wanted to thank all of the Nomads who came down to the Mexico Expo we had. The show was deemed a success by almost every exhibitor so we will continue to promote the shows. Our next one will be June 2nd in San Francisco.

Thanks again and nice to meet the Nomads I hadn't met before.
