TJ restaurants

rayfornario - 2-25-2007 at 02:23 PM

I have been going to TJ for dinner about 1 day a week for 10 years or so.
Best fajita's are over at the "Caves" on Revolution. Ask for David when you go in. I have known him for 10 years and he is like family. He is off on Monday's.
Taco Bell(no the chain) on 1st ave going back to the border.
I have a pedestrain sentri card so there is no wait for me to get back to the US. I hope they keep that program going because it is awesome to get back into the US...as easy as getting into Mexico!

It is a pilot program done by customes , very similar to the vehicle sentri. You submit the neccersary papers, let them do a criminal background check and the you are permitted to use the fast pedestrian lane(the one to the extreme right in the pedestrian line) and are instantly back in the US. It was free back when my wife and I applied. Unfortunately they are not accepting any more applications at this time. I think that when they do a secure border card in liu of the passport requirement to get back into the US, that it will be similar to this.

I believe everyone applying for SENTRI goes through the same process - adding vehicles and transponders is an optional step.

The procedure for a pedestian pass is different than an auto pass. All that I needed for the pedestrian when I enrolled in 2004 was a valid passport. Also with the pedestrian they do a facial scan.

I found out a couple of weeks ago, while I was at the otay office, that the pedestrian sentri is going to be coming back. They couldn't give me a timeline on when this would be.
